In View/Modify Application Profile Option screen you can find a set of application profile parameter options and values that are used to configure the initial settings for the application.
These application profile options and values control how the system will be simulated while performing a transaction, affect the exact behaviour of the processes, determine what features are active or inactive, and regulate user interface components appearance in the application.
You can modify these parameter values from the system default values to improve performance or increase capacity. This modification depends on the system's configuration and other characteristics of the instance or database.
To set values for application profile options:
On the System Administration module, click Basic Configurations, and then click Profile Option.
Select Module from the drop-down. Module wise corresponding category details appear in Category drop-down.
Select Category Name from the drop-down.
To search by profile option name, enter profile option name in Search by Name text box and click Search, the corresponding profile oprtion details appear in the screen.
The default value (if already set) for the selected profile option appear in Default Value field.
Profile Option wise available values appear in Current Value field. To set new values for the profile option, select or uncheck the check box under New Value field.
Example:
If the current value is set to 'Yes' and to change the value to 'No' , uncheck the New Value check box.
If the current value is set to 'No' and to change the value to 'Yes', select the New Value check box.
Click the Save button to set the value for the application profile option.
To modify an existing profile option value, select Profile Option from the drop-down. The existing profile value details appear in the screen. Select/uncheck the New Value check box and click the Save button to set the new value and apply the modification.
Note:
Generally, application profile option values are set by an Administrative user. The normal user is allowed to override profile option values set by the Administrator if User Level Override Allowed check box appears as selected in the screen.
The normal user can override the application profile option values in View/Modify User Profile Options screen.
