Basic Services

Basic Services screen helps to define the basic services in the system. This screen also allows you to modify the details of an existing service.

To define a basic service:

1. On the System Administration module, click Order Management, and then click Basic Service.

2. In the Service Code and the Description box, type the code and the description of the service respectively.

3. In the Service Class drop-down, select the service class to which the service belongs. The relevant attributes defined for the selected service class appear in the screen.

4. Depending on the requirement, select the following check boxes:

1. If the service can be packaged, select the Packageable check box.

2. If the service requires activation, select the Requires Activation check box.

3. If the service is add-on, select Is Add-on check box.

4. In the Status drop-down, select the service status as ACTIVE, INACTIVE, or SUSPEND.

5. Select the Provisioning System from drop-down to map the service features.

6. In Map Service Features panel, Select the service features check box for the selected service class.

7. Click the Save button to save the service details.

To modify an existing service details:

1. In the Service Code box, type the basic service code, which you want to modify. You can also click to browse for the service code. The service details appear on the screen.

2. Modify the required details and click the Save button to apply the modifications.

Prerequisite: Service Class should be defined in the system.
