Service class is the collection of basic services sharing a common attribute. The similar categories of basic services are grouped to form a service class.
Some of the service classes in the system are BroadBand, Electronic Mail, Hardware Loan, Hardware Rent, Internet Service, Pay Per View, TV Channel, Video on Demand, and Voice Over IP. A service class may have some additional information/attributes.
Service Classes are defined in Service Class Setup screen.
For Example:
The channels like, MAA TV, Discovery, Animal Planet, Zee TV, Sahara One, Pogo, Cartoon Network etc. can be grouped to form Cable TV Channel category. Here, Cable TV Channel is a service class.
In some other case, few models of hardware (like, Smart Card, Cable, Plugs, Decoders, etc.) that are given on loan can be grouped to make a Hardware Loan service class. In such case, item codes, quantity, and item variants can be captured in the system as additional information/attributes.
