Multiple individual basic services and service groups within various packages are grouped to form a package group. Package groups are created only for ease of handling group of packages and further bundling.
Package groups are not priced units and carry no business logic. The use of package group is optional.
Package groups are defined in Package Groups Setup screen.
For Example: If following packages are defined in the system:
Package Services/Service Groups (in the package)
Hindi Pack MTV, News Channel Group, and VOD
Telugu Pack MAA TV, Gemini, Sun TV
Kids Pack Cartoon Channel, Kids Service Group
Sports Pack ESPN, Star Sports, Ten Sports, Neo Sports
A package group can be defined by opting packages like, Hindi Pack, and Kids Pack.
