Multiple individual basic services within various service classes are grouped to form a service group. All services within a service group must belong to one service class.
Service groups are created only for ease of handling group of services. Service groups are not priced units and carry no business logic. The use of service group is optional.
Service groups are defined in Service Group Setup screen.
For Example: If following service classes are defined in the system:
Service Class Services
TV Channel MTV, ETV, HBO, Star One, Zee Music
Pay Per View Cricket Match, Indian Movie
Hardware Loan Smart Card, Decoder, Cable
Internet Service Mail Service
A service group can be defined by opting services like, MTV, Zee Music, and HBO together from the same service class.
