Flex Table Attributes screen is used to define flexible attributes. The application provides you with minimum required attributes. If you want to create custom attributes, you can use flex table attributes.
For example; In the customer screen, date of birth is not captured while booking a customer. You can define date of birth as a flex table attribute with required attribute properties. Date of birth field with the defined attributes is displayed in the customer screen.
To define flexible attributes:
On the System Administration module, click Basic Configurations, and then click Flex Table Attributes.
In the Object Name drop-down, select the screen for which you want to define the flexible attributes.
In the Display Columns drop-down, select the number of columns to be displayed.
In the Space between Columns box, type the space required between the columns.
In the Attributes grid, click the Add link to add new attributes.
Enter the Attribute Name and display name in the respective fields.
In the Data Type drop-down, select the data type for the attribute. The available data types are Char, Date, Decimal, Integer, and Date Time.
In
the Validation Type drop-down,
select the type of validation. The following validations are supported.
None: No validation is applied for the attribute.
Select from list: This allows the user to select the value list.
The values retrieved in the value list are displayed in the attribute
drop-down.
(Y)es or (N)o: The values for the attribute are yes or no.
If "Select from list" is selected in the validation type drop-down, the value lists available in the system appear in the Value List drop-down. Select the required value list.
For Validation Type as None, specify the length for the attribute value.
Select the Required check box to make the attribute as a mandatory field.
Click the UP and DOWN arrows to set the display order of the address element in the template.
Click the Add link and follow the process to add multiple attributes.
Click the Update link to update the attributes.
Click the Save button to save the details.
To modify an existing attribute, in the Object Name drop-down, select the screen name for which you want to modify the attribute details. The existing attributes are displayed in the Attributes grid.
Click against the attribute for which you want to modify the details.
Modify the required details and click Save to apply the modifications.
Note: Provision is given to add only ten attributes for a screen.
