Based on the price plans, you can define pricing for the products and services available in a bundle through Define Pricing Details screen. You can also map discounts and rate plans with each charge components through this screen. This screen also helps you to export the plan pricing details file, modify the plan pricing details for the products in the file and import the file to update the changes in the system.
To define pricing:
On the System Administration module, click Order Management, click Pricing, and then click Pricing.
Enter Plan Code or click the Search Lookup against the Plan Code field to search for the existing plan pricing details. Enter the minimum required details in the searching fields and click the Search button. The details appear in Lookup Search pop up window. Select the required Plan Code link from the Search Results list in Lookup Search pop up window. The plan name, status, effective period, services and products available within the bundle appear in the main window.
If you choose to click icon against plan code to search for the existing price details and wish to modify the pricing details for the products, then furnish the following steps to modify and update the pricing details:
Click Export hyperlink to export the pricing details. In the opening pricing pop-up window, select Save File to save the file in a location where you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
Note: The file should be saved in .csv extension.
Modify the required details in the file and click Browse to select the desired file.
Click Import hyperlink to import the modified file.
In the Effective From box, select the date from which the pricing should be applied.
In the Contract Validity drop-down, select the period for which the pricing should be applied. You can define different pricing for different contract validities. This drop-down helps to use the Contract Obligation feature. Field Configuration is provided for Contract Validity drop-down.
Charges:
Click Charges tab to map the charge components with individual products in the bundle. Charges tab is displayed by default.
Enter the Product Code.
Select Charge Component, Charge Type, Price Region, Billing frequency, Charge Unit, and Currency from their respective drop-down list.
Click Search button to search based on the search criteria.
The details are displayed in the grid below.
In the grid, the charge components mapped with the service classes are displayed. If you want to add any other charge component to the product, then click + symbol. Select the charge component from the drop-down..
In Charge Description box, type the description for the charge.
Select Taxes Included check box against the charges if you want to define the price inclusive of taxes.
In Prorata
Rule drop-down, select the prorata rule as Compute Exact Amount,
Charge for Full Month,
Waive Prorated Amount,
or Custom Rule based
on your requirement.
Note: The prorata rules
defined in Prorata
Rule lookup
code are displayed in the Prorata Rule drop-down.
In Disconnection Credit Rule drop-down, select value as No Disconnection Credit, Exact Usage, Custom Rule, Full Payterm, and Rounded Payterm.
In Account Code drop-down, Select the account code..
Pricing:
Click Pricing tab to map the charge components with various pricing attributes. The pricing attributes mapped in Pricing Attributes screen with plan appear on the screen.
The charge units mapped with the charge components are displayed.
Select the required attributes from Price Region, Currency, Customer Type, Billing Frequency drop-downs to map them with the charge components.
Enter the amount for each charge component under Price column. Depending on the Charge Unit, the given amount would be applicable on the respective charge for the periodic interval.
Select the check box under Multi Room Pricing column to apply the pricing on multiple rooms available in the contract.
To define scheme based pricing for the plan, click under Scheme Instance column which opens Pricing Scheme Instance web page dialog box.
The pricing schemes defined in Pricing Scheme screen appear in the drop-down. In the Scheme Code drop-down, select the pricing scheme.
To define a new instance, select New check box against Instance Code. To use and already existing instance, select the instance code from the drop-down
In Instance Code and Instance Description box, type the code and description for the new instance.
In Pricing Scheme grid, modify the price and click Save. In main window, the selected instance appears under Scheme Instance column.
Note: If you define a scheme instance then enter the price as zero under price column of the main window.
Discounts
Click Discounts tab to map the discount codes with charge components. If you want to give any discount, select Price Region, Customer Type, Billing Frequency, Discount Code, and Discount Type from the drop-down against the charge components.
Enter discount amount and discount period in months under Discount Value and Duration column respectively.
Rate Plan
Click Rate Plan tab to associate a rate plans with individual products in the bundle. The products which are usage based like PPV, VoD, and ISP appear in Rate Plan tab. For the usage services, the rateplan must be associated.
The rate plans defined in the system are displayed in Rateplan drop-down. Select the rate-plan from the drop-down.
Click the bundle under Services & Products column to view the details of the bundle in Detail View web page dialog box.
Click the Save button to save the pricing details.
Note: You can also override the existing price and define a new price for the same price plan. In such case, select New Version check box and new date in Effective From field. Follow the above procedure to define and apply the price from the selected date.
