The transaction details and history of a serialized item can be tracked through Track Serial Item screen.
For a given serial number of the item, this screen provides the following details:
current status of the item
to which entity/customer/company it is currently associated with. The item can be with the operational entity, or customer.
when the item came into the inventory location.
when the item is issued to an operational entity or a customer
when the item is transferred to other inventory location
when the item is returned back
displays the carton code, if the item is stored in the carton
if any replacement or return is done against the item
To track serialized item:
On the Inventory & Logistics module, click Track Serial Item Details.
Enter the item serial number in Serial Number field. The following item details appear in the respective fields:
The history details of the serial item are, Receipt Note Number, Receipt Date, Purchase Order Number, Purchase Order Date, Supplier Name and Inventory Location/ Sub Location at which the item was received.
The Current Details panel shows the Availability Status, Quality Status.
The screen also shows the item's presence at inventory location/sub-location or operational entity's place or customer's place. If the item is present with any of the above entity, then the screen displays Entity Type.
If the item is under warranty, then you can view Warranty Expiry Date of the item.
You can also view the details of each transaction the item has gone through. The transaction details include, Transaction No., Transaction Date, Transaction Type, Source Transaction Type, Entity Type, Entity/customer/company Name, Inventory Location, Sub- Location, and User Name.
