Relocation is a change in the physical location. Customers may relocate from an existing location to another location due to various reasons. When a customer relocates from a location, he may want to shift the existing service to the new residence. For this, the service provider will transfer the service after checking the feasibility of the service at the new residence. There is a possibility that the existing dealer or operational entity may not operate in the new area and a different operational entity operates over there. So, the service provider needs to move the customer from the existing operational entity to the operational entity, who is operating the services in the new area.
Relocation screen helps the service provider to capture the new residence address details and also assign the customer to another operational entity (if any).
To capture relocation information:
On the Customer Care module, click Relocation.
Retrieve details of the customer who is relocating. You can also click to browse for a customer. The corresponding details like customer information and the existing address details appear on the screen.
Select the New check box against the Relocation Number to capture new address details. By default, the check box is selected.
In the Date box, select the date on which you are capturing the relocation details.
In the Effective From Date box, select the date from which the relocation details should be considered.
In the Old Address grid, the existing address details are displayed.
In the New Address grid, provide the new address details.
The operational entity to which the customer belongs is displayed in the Old Operational Entity box. There is a probability that the operational entity of the customer may change when the customer relocates. In the Operational Entity drop-down, select the new operational entity, if any.
In the Relocation Charges box, the relocation charges defined appear. You can enter a new value, if required.
In the Notes box, enter notes, if any.
Click Save to save the relocation details. After the details are saved, two service requests will be raised; one for disconnection and for installation. You can view the service request details like service request number, category, status, and assigned to in Service Request grid.
Click Notes History to view the history of the notes entered.
