The service provider can send mails to the subscriber Set Top Box (STB) through corresponding Conditional Access System (CAS). The service provider can set STB mail parameter values to configure initial property settings like, message priority, days to delete etc. at the time of sending such mails. The STB (Decoder) stores such messages like a normal mail box. These mails are called as STB mails.
The subscriber has to navigate manually to check these mails. Generally, a service provider sends customize STB mails to the subscriber for various reasons, like for payment dues, promotional campaign etc.
